Jim Padden, CLFP since 1999

Since 1995 Jim has been at the helm of Padco as president and owner. Under his leadership, the company has established a reputation as one of the finest small ticket funders in the equipment financing industry.

“Our business is all about business. Our goal is to fund the business dreams of our customers, and the financial dreams of our investors. I always like to say that we are here to fund relationships.”

A graduate of Northwestern University (1976), Jim’s original plan in life was to use his Industrial Engineering degree in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry. He spent several years with Allis Chalmers and Cummins Engines before deciding to join his father at Padden and Company in 1990. His industrial background has served him well in the equipment financing business and brings a unique set of skills and innovative ideology to his management of Padco Financial Services.

Matt Padden, CLFP since 2011

Matt officially joined his father at Padco in 2002, but his roots there run a little deeper – he spent his high school summers working as a company intern. Vice President of Funding Operations since 2010, Matt works closely with the finest independent brokers in the United States, handling most of the credit analysis and approvals for financing contracts.

Matt graduated from the University of Illinois in 2003 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and planned to pursue a career in that field. But when the time came, he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps. Rather than designing planes, Matt found it much more satisfying to help small businesses fund their equipment needs.

“We are a small business, so we know the problems that small businesses face. So when I hear a business owner tell me that our financing is helping their business to grow and move past obstacles that big banks put in their way, it is an incredibly rewarding feeling.”

Matt is very active with his church, St. Irenaeus, where he and his wife Stacy have a hard time saying no when asked to volunteer. They enjoy giving back to the community as Sunday school teachers, committee members, food pantry volunteers, and helping to run their local homeless shelter.

Matt and Stacy spend most of their free time wrangling their very active pets, and as avid gamers play everything from Bridge to the latest video games.
